My inspiration for this piece came from wanting to contribute a piece for a group exhibition called Whakapapa (or genealogy). I wanted to convey how we are connected whether it be your family, friends, work colleagues or associates. The connections we make can have a lot of influence on our lives and I wanted the new shapes created to reflect on this.
