This piece is reflective of an event that in my life that we have all experienced in our lives. A breakdown of a relationship. I think we’ve all experienced this on some level. This was unfolding while creating pieces for an upcoming exhibition, hence the title. I appreciate that subject of distraction can take on many forms and is as personal of an experience as the person.

In this piece I wanted to further explore this subject, exploring the numerous layers of any conflict. This has been expressed by creating two layers two the overflow piece.

Each layer of paper has been hand cut using acid-free paper and a surgical blade and bounded together with acid-free glue and other appropriate products.
